When I chat with my brides about their upcoming Engagement Session, I always recommend scheduling, or using their already scheduled hair and makeup trial, on the day of their Engagement Session. Not just so they can have hair and makeup on point, but so they can also see how it looks in photos. It will get you comfortable with your hair and makeup artist and give you a chance to make any changes before the big day!

I know it has taken me forever to catch up on blogging my past sessions but sharing this family session has me so excited for the upcoming fall season which is a popular time to take family photos! The Jorgensen Family were so sweet and set up the perfect location at the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park! It was my first time and it was truly stunning! Here are a few of my favorites that we captured!
Nelson Family {San Antonio, TX}
When I first moved to San Antonio I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family!! In home sessions are my absolute favorite, especially when working with little ones! Since they are in their own home they are comfortable and I am able to capture more of their personality! The Nelson's were documenting the newest member of their family and I was able to capture some lovely moments!
Patrick & Lili - Wedding {Washington D.C}
Washington D.C is a dream!! I was so excited to photograph Patrick and Lili's wedding day! I was lucky to be in D.C a few months before their day to meet up with Lili and chat! I love being able to meet in person with my couples if I can! Patrick and Lili had their ceremony at the beautiful D.C War Memorial which sits next to the Lincoln Memorial and stunning reflecting pool. We had their first look at their ceremony site before everything was set up for the ceremony and then walked around the gorgeous grounds for some portraits. Their ceremony was absolutely beautiful with so many friends and family to celebrate with them! Following the ceremony we did the most amazing Pedi-Cab ride around the city! If you haven't been on one, I highly recommend! A lot of the drivers also do tours so they have so much information they share with you while you ride! They showed us some hidden spots for photos and it was so much fun! Their reception was a blast and you could just feel the love and joy! I love finishing a wedding knowing I made great friends and thats exactly how I felt finishing up Patrick and Lili's wedding day!
